July Update
The thing that Crosby loves most about living in Centerburg is getting to ride his bike around town by himself. At our previous house that was not an option at all so he feels so much freedom and responsibility now. He rides to the post office daily to get the mail from our P.O. Box. Madalinn loves the country and is dreaming about being in 4H next year. One of her dreams has been to be a homesteader so country life suits her well. Hosea thinks our house is Big Bounce trampoline park. Since we haven't set up our beds yet he has loved jumping and flipping on all of the mattresses on the floor.
Last Friday, Madalinn had her right heart catheterization and nose cauterization. Both procedures went very well. We are still waiting to hear from her cardiologist about her impressions of the Cath, but the Cath doctor reported that her pressure numbers are much better than in the fall (obviously we knew they would be!). We were thankful that she only had to be under anesthesia once but was able to get both procedures done. Her nose had been bleeding almost daily and now it shouldn't bleed for quite a while!
Josh goes in for his brain vessel procedure done this Thursday (tomorrow). They will go in through the veins to his brain in what is called an angiogram. Once in there they will decide which vessels to block off to reduce blood flow. They plan to repeat this on Monday. Josh has been pursuing healing prayer and we anticipate that the doctor will find nothing abnormal in his brain. We are trusting and believing this but know that God will be glorified in whatever happens! The doctors plan is to do the angiogram/embolism twice and then reevaluate and decide the best way to move forward.
This summer has been like no other summers. Living in transition and anticipation has definitely left us tired. However, we have also be enjoying things like spending time with friends (new and old), swimming, a visit from Grandma Martha, camps, and learning a new town. We have been so blessed by Josh's parents who have been a wonderful support to us in so many ways. We have been learning and growing in our faith and are grateful we serve a powerful and present God.
