June update
"I've still got joy in chaos
I've got peace that makes no sense
I won't be going under
I'm not held by my own strength
'Cause I've built my life on Jesus
He's never let me down
He's faithful through every season
So why would He fail now? He won't"
I've got peace that makes no sense
I won't be going under
I'm not held by my own strength
'Cause I've built my life on Jesus
He's never let me down
He's faithful through every season
So why would He fail now? He won't"
These lyrics from the song Firm Foundation (He Won't) have been our anthem for the past month. We have often been asked, "How are you dealing with everything?" My answer is always, "It is the Lord's grace and strength only that is sustaining us." He really has given us a strength and peace that is beyond anything that we can conjure up on our own. We are so thankful for this!
Here are a few updates:
- Crosby has his CT scan in Cincinnati and no AVMs were seen in his lungs. In April this bubble echo was positive for AVM so now we know they are all small, too small to see on a CT, and he will just need to follow up in 2-3 years. We are thankful for these results.
- Madalinn's heart Cath was rescheduled for July 1. The heart Cath will give us more specific details about how her heart, lungs, and pressures are. During this procedure we are thankful that her ENT will be there to do the injections in her nose to stop her nosebleeds. Going under anesthesia can be dangerous for Madalinn's heart so it is a blessing to be able to do both procedures at the same time.
- Josh is scheduled for angiograms and embolizations on July 14 & 18. Afterward they will reassess and decide what is next. Josh has sought healing prayer and we are believing that on the 14th they will get in there and find it all to be normal. We found out last week that Josh will qualify for disability while he misses work for recovery. We are so thankful!
Last week we closed on our current home. Closing on our new home in Centerburg has been delayed. Our hope is to close this week. This week Crosby is at wilderness camp, Madalinn and I are going to CIY Jr. High confidence, and Hosea is visiting my family in Indiana. With the help of friends, we pack a Uhaul on Saturday. It's a busy week, but an exciting one!
A few weeks ago our sweet friend Aisha got married. When we had first moved to Columbus she lived with us for three years. We were so excited to be apart of this special day for her and Josh (Edwards).
Thank you for your prayers and love.
