| Playing Skipbo with the Recreational Therapist |
Over the past two days the doctors worked hard to push her meds to reach the goal amount. This means that she dealt with side effects of nausea and headache most of the time. I was amazed at her endurance and ability to withstand it. She enjoyed time with the Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, and Recreational Therapist. They always have fun things to do with her.
This afternoon they repeated the echocardiogram to see how the medication is effecting her heart. The discouraging news is that her heart still remains the same.
Tomorrow (Wednesday) morning at 8am she goes for a long MRI from her neck to her pelvis. This MRI will last 2-4 hours. Pray that she will not have side effects from the meds while trying to lay still in the machine. Pray that time will pass quickly and that she can make it through the whole test.
This MRI will give the doctors the images needed to make a plan for her heart catheterization.
One of the compilations of her situation is that she has HHT (Hereditary Hemorrhagic Talenjactasia). For Josh's family this manifests itself as bloody noses. We have discovered that Madalinn not only has bloody noses, she has HHT in her lungs and liver. **Praising God that she doesn't have any in her brain!!!** HHT is where capillaries do not develop correctly and there are places where an artery and vain are connected without capillaries. This means there is a lack of oxygen going to those places and they is also a concern for hemorrhaging. These spots in her lungs could be contributing to her Pulmonary Hypertension but we are not sure how much. There is hope that they may be able to cap off some of the majors spots during the Heart Cath. This is what the MRI will help them figure out.
How to Pray:
- Pray that GOD and the Romodolin would make her heart stronger
- Pray that she can make it through the whole MRI on Wednesday morning
- Pray for the Doctors as they make a plan for the heart Cath
Prayed! Will continue to pray all morning. Pray that he will settle into the room where all of you are. His presence will be known you will feel his love. He will guide the doctors and the test will be super naturally shorter than they ever anticipated they will get all the information that they need and formulate a plan that will Be successful.
ReplyDeletePraying without ceasing for all of you.
