Thursday, Nov. 4

First of all, we feel so blessed by all of the texts, messages, cards, meals, gift cards and gifts that have been showered upon our family. The support and love is so big. We know many families around us are not so blessed to have abundance in the resource of support systems. We do not take it all for granted.
We are realizing a bit more each day how long this stay is really going to be. It is going to be a long journey. We had thought at first it was going to be a few days (because we were naive), then we thought a few weeks, but in reality it will be much longer. We have no idea how long. Your prayers and acts of service are used by the Lord to sustain us. Thank you.
Update:
Yesterday's MRI was very successful and shorter than anticipated! Thank you for praying. Things we learned from the MRI...She has no hemorrhaging risks in her brain or liver. Her liver actually looked better in the MRI than it did in the CT scan. They also found out that the misplaced pulmonary vein is not playing a significant role in her pulmonary hypertension so that means that open heart surgery is no long part of the treatment plan right now.
Today she has been very sleepy. They upped her heart meds from 40 to 60, which was a huge jump. She has napped most of the day. They really want her to be eating today since she will not be able to eat tomorrow. Despite all of this, she has been happy and delightful. All of the nurses love her.
Tomorrow, Friday, at noon will be her Heart Cath. For her this is a high risk procedure but after our conversation with the doctor performing the procedure we are confident she is in good hands. We also are confident that the Lord holds her heart.
With the data from the Heart Cath and the genetics test results (that are not in yet) the doctors will be able to develop a plan for her healing.
Pray for:
- Praise for the MRI showing no HHT spots in her brain and a healthy liver.
- Pray for The Heart Cath at noon on Friday. For the Holy Spirit to guide the doctor and team.
- Pray for her heart to be strengthened.
Praying 🙏
